Phoned and spoke to Helen at ALT. Apparently the job sheet showed US moving the filter and pump, or so she suggested - unbelievable, could it be that even their head of complaints can't enter the information correctly!
Rearranged for THEM to send a tech. to move everything, suggested they order a filter outlet connector and a new three way valve in case the existing ones can't be reused. Confirmed they will be bringing a pump for the boiler and advised them about the solar deadline.
We arranged for the tech. (Trevor) to phone us later this week to organise a first job arrangement for early next week to get this all done. Hopefully we can then finally get the Chemigen system installed and the thing can start taking care of itself at long last!
[The final roof metal-work was completed, ready for the glass and roof vents. Even though they're coming back, they still took the time to totally clean the work area, removing the scaffold towers, even sweeping up all the bits down the side of the house.]
Thursday
Morning
Left a message for Helen suggesting that she contact us regarding the solar. We thought it could make it easier for them if they lay the cross roof pipes before the glass goes on the roof - not surprisingly we didn't get a reply. Oh well, their loss!
[The brickie laid the two base course of bricks for the conservatory walls.]
Friday
Heard nothing from the header course paver or from the pipework tech. people by the end of the week - I guess they don't want set a precident by actually following up on appointments, do they?
The total contrast between the pool people - slap dash and inconsistant - and the conservatory company - totally professional and taking pride in their work - is more and more apparent with each day of contact (or not!) with each party.
